My favorite Guinness if I’m going to have it out of a bottle or can. It was all I drank when I first started getting into beer. When I was dating my wife, I have many good memories of drinking it with my father-in-law, the same man who introduced me to whiskey. Guinness is very good, but it is best on tap. Though it doesn’t travel well. The best place to get it, so I’ve heard, is in Ireland (I believe the bottles and canned versions, which make it into the US are brewed in Canada). Yet, it is nowhere near my favorite or the best stout around. My favorite would be Old Rasputin, an imperial brewed by North Coast Brewing Co.
