Growing up as a child I would see older, yet still young, men drive by in there beast of a car with blaring music just low enough to not break the windows. Yet, to my disappointment, I came of age when the modern man drove a prius. Yet the conundrum is not as simple as one would think. Because I am not simply speaking of the loss of masculinity as it takes its form in various social environments. I don’t think the all American man is someone who drinks whiskey, owns a gun, and is addicted to sports. Even with all of those items one notices each is something from a different age. But I am speaking of the problematic destruction of man and what it truly means to be one. Here is to reclaiming what once was. A supplement to The Bourbon Intelligencer Blog.
